St. Petersburg has asked the Prosecutor General to unarchive the case of Kolchak

St. PETERSBURG, August 31 — RIA Novosti. A resident of St. Petersburg Dmitry Ostryakov sent to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation statement with the request to inspect decisions of the FSB of Russia not to publish a copy of the decision to refuse to rehabilitate Admiral Alexander Kolchak, told RIA Novosti lawyer, head of human rights group “Team 29”, supporting the Russian scientist, Ivan Pavlov.

“The statement was sent to the Prosecutor General”, — said the lawyer.

Previously to the applicant, who is interested in the solution of the Transbaikal military district court in 1999, failed in the rehabilitation of Kolchak, was denied to provide a copy of the judgment, which is stored in the Central archive of the FSB.

According to the author of the application, restricting access to content on nerabilities repressed contrary to goskoncert to perpetuate the memory of victims of political repression.

In April of smolninskiy district court of St. Petersburg declared illegal the decision of city government and Council for a plaque about the installation of a memorial plaque to Alexander Kolchak, because it was made without taking into account information about them committed mass repression. The decision was handed down on 24 January.
