The Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev going in early September to visit Japan ahead of the meeting President of Russia Vladimir Putin with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe in Vladivostok on the sidelines of the Eastern economic forum (WEF). This was announced on Thursday, the newspaper Nikkei.
According to her, currently the trip Patrushev from 4 to 6 September. During the visit it is expected his meeting with Secretary General of the national security Council of Japan, Shotaro Yachi. The two sides can discuss, including the situation around the DPRK, as well as issues of joint economic activities on Southern Kuriles.
Last Patrushev and Yachi met in November 2016 in Moscow. Then they discussed regional and international security and Russian-Japanese cooperation in the field of security.
