Ivanovo, the court reduced the verdict to the former Deputy Chairman of the regional government for bribes
YAROSLAVL, 31 Aug — RIA Novosti. Ivanovo regional court in the quarter reduced the sentence to the former Chairman of the regional government for taking bribes in the amount of 8 million rubles to 6 years 3 months in a strict regime colony, according to the Prosecutor of the region on Thursday.
Earlier it was reported that in April, the former Deputy Chairman of the government of the Ivanovo region Andrei kabanau was found guilty of receiving two bribes in the amount of 8 million rubles. Leninsky district court of Ivanovo sentenced him to 8.5 years in a penal colony and a fine of 30 million rubles.
On Thursday, the Prosecutor’s office of the region reported that the Ivanovo regional court considered the appeal of protection Kabanov.
“Judicial Board considered the totality of the mitigating circumstances exceptional… reducing the final punishment in terms of imprisonment up to 6 years 3 months… the Sentence came into legal force from the moment of announcement,” the message reads.
