The number of failures to candidates to register for elections at all levels this year has halved compared to the previous year. Such data voiced by the Deputy Chairman of the Central election Commission Nikolai Bulaev, reports TASS Wednesday August 30.

“In 2017 — 4275 candidates were refused”, — he said at the Commission meeting.

According to him, this testifies to the loyalty of the electoral system to serious contenders, “to those who wish seriously, not for fun, to participate in the election campaign”. In total, it was nominated for 96 thousand candidates was 88 thousand people, said the Agency.

In the single voting day, September 10, across the country will host more than 5.8 thousand elections and referendums at different levels. The vote will be conducted only in three regions: Ingushetia, Magadan oblast and Saint-Petersburg. This day will operate an Internet portal, which will present visual and textual information about the progress of the elections.
