The opposition in Syria should abandon ultimatums for resolution of the situation in the country, said the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“It is necessary that the opposition behaved in a realistic, refused ultimatums that do not fit into those rules, which were endorsed by the UN security Council. The security Council decided that the fate of Syria should be resolved by the Syrians themselves. There are no pre-conditions does not contain” — said the Russian Minister at a press conference following the talks in the UAE.

It is expected that a new round of talks on Syria will be held in Astana in September.
