Sectoral sanctions against the financial and oil sectors of Venezuela aims to further unbalance the situation in the country, deepening economic problems, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“In these circumstances, the announced sectoral sanctions against the financial and oil sectors of Venezuela, clearly, aimed at aggravation of the imbalance of the situation in the country, deepening economic problems. They are pushing those implacable who does not see the implementation of political opportunities without the removal from power of Venezuelan leadership,” — said in a statement Zakharova, published on the website of the foreign Ministry.
The President of the United States Donald trump introduced on Friday new sanctions against Venezuela. In particular, American companies are prohibited transactions with new debt and securities issued by the government of Venezuela and the state oil company, with a maturity of more than 30 and 90 days, respectively. Also prohibited transactions with a number of existing debt owned by the public sector of Venezuela, and the receipt of dividends from the government of Venezuela.
