In Moscow held a special meeting of the HRC on the issues of waste disposal

Council under the President of Russia on development of civil society and human rights is holding a special meeting devoted to the problems of waste disposal, reports Regnum.

The HRC addresses the topic of waste management consumption, considering it in the context of the constitutionally guaranteed rights of everyone to health and to a healthy environment.

The Board believes that the solution to the waste problem requires the joint efforts of government and civil society, producers and consumers of goods and services, municipal authorities, educational institutions, subjects of public control and citizens.

Chairman of the Board, the adviser of the President of Russia on human rights, Mikhail Fedotov, in his opening remarks noted that the problem of recycling is very sharp — humanity makes waste every minute and on a large scale, and therefore how to solve this problem depends the existence of life on our planet.

Commissioner for human rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova announced the opening of the regional eco-foster near the areas most disadvantaged from the point of view of recycling.

“Our task is to ask the government to expand the program more broadly, including social advertising, to strengthen control with the help of colleagues from Rospotrebsoyuz for the construction of new plants and operation of landfills, which we are closing. But you need to understand what to do to people”, — quotes Moskalkova RIA “Novosti”.

Earlier, rostec reported on the priority project “Pure country”, which aims to reduce the disposal of municipal solid waste. A key goal of the project is to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
