In the elections of the Governor of the Belgorod region will participate four candidates, including the incumbent head of administration Yevgeny Savchenko, who directs the region from 11 October 1993. He was four times elected head of the region and has twice mandated the Belgorod regional Duma. Savchenko has been in power for 23 years, and this is a record for Russian governors. The next five-year period may make it almost unattainable for this indicator.
In addition to Yevgeny Savchenko, held municipal filter and was Stanislav Panov (CPRF), Konstantin Klimashevsky (LDPR), Edward Chavusau (the Party of veterans of Russia).
