During the exercise, Russia is acting within international standards, Poland has nothing to worry about, told RIA Novosti on Saturday, the first Deputy Chairman of the defense Committee of the Federation Council Frants Klintsevich.

Earlier, the Minister of defence of Poland Anthony Macierewicz after a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told the news Agency PAP that Warsaw fears that after the exercises ” West-2017,” the Russian troops will be stationed near the Eastern border of Poland.

Russian-Belarusian strategic exercises “West-2017” will be held in Belarus from 14 to 20 September.

“The chorus of Western politicians, to artificially escalate tensions over the exercise “Zapad-2017″ , added the Minister of defence of Poland Antonia, Macierewicz. However, this hysteria is no reason not,” — said Klintsevich.

According to him, Russia and Belarus in the definition of the goals and objectives of the upcoming exercise, in the arrangement of their priorities come from the situation on the European continent at this particular moment, “acting solely in the framework of relevant international norms and agreements”.

“However, within this framework, on the basis of mutual agreement our country has the right to make any decisions that ensure their safety,” he added.

“Poland is absolutely nothing to worry about. Can only recommend her guidance to avoid during the exercise of any provocations” , — concluded the Klintsevich.
