Baturina tops list of richest women in Russia
The list of the richest women in Russia according to Forbes magazine, was headed by the wife of the former mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov Elena Baturina. The rating is published on the newspaper’s website.
For the year as Baturina decreased by $ 100 million — to a billion dollars. Baturina is engaged in development of hotel business in several European countries.
According to Forbes, for many years she is trying to sue the Russian government to 33.6 billion rubles compensation for confiscated her land in the North-West of Moscow, but in February 2017 lost the appeal.
Second place in the ranking of richest women is Elena Rybolovlev, who after the divorce of Dmitry Rybolovlev as the result of the settlement agreement has received about 600 million dollars and two houses in Switzerland. Dispute between spouses over the division of property upon divorce lasted seven years and ended only in the fall of 2015.
