The EU included Ukraine on the list of priorities of its foreign policy for the next year. This follows from the speech of the EU high representative for foreign Affairs and security policy Federica Mogherini, speaking at the opening of a planned meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions of the community, reports on Monday, August 28, TASS.
The priorities in descending order Mogherini took defence policy, the fight against terrorism, migration, the stabilization of the situation in the Balkans and strengthening the system of international relations based on multilateral rules. Ukraine the head of European diplomacy mentioned only once, stating the details of the last paragraph.
“For us remains an important priority support multinational and multilateral bodies. Based on these, the system today is under attack from various parties which I will not name, leaving it to your imagination. This system is very important for the implementation of the Paris climate agreement, but also to resolve crises from North Korea to Ukraine”, — said Mogherini.
Relations with Moscow or the theme of anti-Russian sanctions, the diplomat during a speech is not raised.
Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly stated that the main purpose of Kiev is to join the European Union and NATO, in June, the Parliament enshrined these provisions at the legislative level.
