The terrorists get the main income from oil, drugs, and art objects, said head of the main Directorate of the General staff of VS of Russia the General-Colonel Igor Korobov. Apart from oil, artifacts, and drugs he also described the main sources of terrorist financing “the sale of human organs for transplantation, and the collection of so-called tax on the population of the occupied territories”, reports RIA “Novosti”.
In addition, he pointed to private donations and financial contributions from certain non-governmental organizations and charitable funds, which the Islamists have created in other countries.
The funds, according to him, is transferred to the Bank accounts of nominees in the neighboring countries of Syria, where they “cashed and smuggled delivered to the Syrian territory”.
Russia has said that sanctions against ISIS taken by the UN security Council, are insufficient, need a comprehensive blockade.
