Poroshenko instructed the APU to comply with the silence regime in Donbas
KIEV, August 28. /TASS/. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko ordered the military to respect the ceasefire in the Donbass. He said this on Monday on his page in Facebook.
“Instructed the APU to continue to adhere to the declared mode of silence. This topic among others was discussed during my meeting with the military leadership in Kramatorsk,” — said the head of state.
According to him, the ceasefire on the occasion of the beginning of the school year must purchase a “comprehensive, creating favorable conditions for advancing the peace process with the aim of restoring sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.
Earlier on Monday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel macron in a joint statement, expressed concern about the failure of the ceasefire in the conflict zone.
The idea of the “school of the armistice” was discussed 22 August, during the telephone conversation leaders “channel four” (Germany, Russia, Ukraine, France). Later, the parties to the conflict made a statement in which expressed readiness to stick to peaceful engagements with 00:00 on 25 August.
