The sanctions imposed against Russia for ties with North Korea, is not directed against the Russian government, said the head of the press service of the Department of state Heather Nauert. She said that “the sanctions (against) a third party” imposed on companies and individuals from China and Russia, but the United States is “absolutely not aimed at any specific government”, RIA “Novosti”.
On August 22, the United States contributed to the sanctions list on the DPRK six individuals, including four Russians. The Russian foreign Ministry said the new US sanctions are illegal.
