In the state Department believe that the Ukrainian issue is detrimental to the relations between Russia and the United States
LONDON, August 27. /TASS/. The continuation of the conflict in Ukraine could cause serious damage to Russian-American relations. The special representative of the us state Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker told the London newspaper Financial Times.
“Relations between Russia and the United States are important, but they will be crippled with this problem in Ukraine”, — he said in a Sunday interview.
Transmitting the words of the special representative of the state Department, the newspaper reported that Walker talked about the need for adoption by Russia of a number of “fundamental solutions” in terms of “whether to follow her or not by way of implementation of the Minsk agreements”.
In addition, in an interview touched on the topic of U.S. arms supplies to Ukraine. According to Volcker, the administration of President Donald trump is seriously considering this option.
“The trump is now considering whether to continue us to abandon the line taken by the Obama administration, or to change its position. While this account has not yet been taken no new action, but at a very high level, people take this very seriously. Of course, this should be the decision of the President”, — said Walker.
