Film Director, Chairman of the Duma Committee on culture Stanislav Govorukhin said that it no longer intends to make movies. He told this at a meeting with members of the public during his working visit to Udmurtia Sunday, August 27, reports “Interfax”.

According to the Director, his best picture, he said “the End of a great era” in 2015. “Moreover, I decided no longer to remove, because it seems to me that it’s better not to do,” said Govorukhin.

He added that the film is largely autobiographical, although based on the works of writer Sergei Dovlatov.

The plot of “End of a great era” — the story of journalist and writer Andrew Lentulov, which moved from Leningrad to Tallinn in search of his place in life. The action takes place in the 1970-ies. In the tape, in particular, addressed the issue of the Soviet censorship.

The film is based on the book by Dovlatov “Compromise”. It starred Ivan Kolesnikov, Fedor Dobronravov, Sergey Garmash, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Boris Kamorzin.
