Temporarily fulfilling duties of the Governor of the Ryazan region Nikolay Lyubimov during a working meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin spoke about his plans to make entrusted to him the region’s “digital”. On Thursday, August 24, according to the Kremlin website.

The subject, he said, has all possibilities for this. “We are now going to create innovative scientific and technical center on the basis of educational institutions and enterprises, including the defense industry, with the involvement of small businesses. This will allow us to participate in applicable Federal programs, there are good conditions, we will be able to make digital Ryazan region,” he said.

In addition, the official announced the attracting investment in the region’s industry. A few days ago, the local authorities signed four contracts for 25 billion roubles, for the launch of pharmaceutical production, production of blood products, construction of greenhouses and tractors, reported Lyubimov. The day before, he added, an agreement worth about nine billion rubles to launch production of dairy cattle.

On 14 February, Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of Oleg Kovalev, who headed the Ryazan region since 2008. The same day he was appointed acting head of the region, the former Deputy of the state Duma from “United Russia” Nikolay Lyubimov.
