The divers found Saturday, 26 August, the body of a man believed missing in the crash of the bus in the sea with an unfinished pier in the Krasnodar region. It is reported TASS with reference to the representative of the rescue service.
“One hundred percent found”, — said the Agency interlocutor. He said that the body was discovered at the very end of the pier, the information was officially confirmed in the regional emergencies Ministry. Thus, the death toll in the accident rose to 18 people.
Earlier it was reported about the resumption of search operations for the missing.
The bus was carrying workers of the company “Tamanneftegas”, as well as contractors engaged in the construction of the pier. The incident also injured 33 people. Local authorities called the incident the cause of the brake failure.
The investigative Committee opened a criminal case on violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, as well as on the provision of services not meeting safety requirements. Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov instructed to conduct an unscheduled inspection of the carrier after the accident.
