The party leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky considered a manifestation of madness, the attempt of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine to accuse him of aiding the militia of Donbass and the financing of their activities. On Wednesday, August 23, RIA Novosti reported.
“The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s office, apparently, completely mad. But we are already accustomed and do not pay attention,” — said the politician.
He explained that the liberal democratic party does not collect the money for the residents of Donbass, but regularly sends humanitarian aid to Southeast Ukraine. “It’s medicine, foods that can be stored, clothes, some necessities, transportation several times sent there,” he listed Zhirinovsky.
Earlier Wednesday it was reported that the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine was against Russian policy the notice of suspicion in committing a criminal offence. We are talking about part 3 of article 27 and part 3 of article 258-5 of the criminal code, which provides punishment till 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. According to authorities, Zhirinovsky in March-April 2014 created and headed the group of deputies of the state Duma of the Russian Federation, which organized the collection of funds for the material support of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk national republics.
In August 2014, the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine called Zhirinovsky for questioning on charges of aiding the militia of Donbass and the financing of their activities. Then liberal Democrat said that did not hide his sympathy for the new Russia and is a constitutional right, but he was willing to come in for questioning in Kiev as soon as we receive an official subpoena.
Armed conflict in the Donbas began after the attempts to suppress speech are dissatisfied with the change of government in the country in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. At the end of January 2017 in the South-East of Ukraine worsened the situation in the area of the contact, frequent clashes between parties to the conflict.
