Saakashvili has not received notice of deprivation of citizenship of Ukraine
MOSCOW, Aug 25 — RIA Novosti. The ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili did not receive notice of the deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship and intends to return to Kiev, RT reported, citing a source close to the politician.
Previously deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, Saakashvili declared intention to return on 10 September to Ukraine from Poland. Members of his party “Movement new forces” have declared intention to meet their leader at the border and to smuggle into Ukraine.
“No notification of deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship policy (Saakashvili) has not received, and the assurances of the ally of ex-Governor of the Odessa region, such a letter was not sent and the State border service”, — reports the edition. The interviewee said that “Saakashvili is planning to return to Ukraine, where he intends to build his political career”.
