Russians began to eat more cakes and pastries

The consumption of cakes and pastries among Russians has increased dramatically in June, when he reached two kilograms a year per person, but it does not approach pre-crisis 2.5 kgs. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the Center of research of the confectionery market (CICR).

In ZIKR noted that this is happening after almost two years of reducing consumption. “That category has one of the highest levels of price growth in comparison with other kinds of sweets to 5 per cent in June 2017 June 2016 and 2 percent in comparison with January of the current year”, — said the researchers.

Separately it is reported that the dynamics of growth of production figures for the production of pies and cakes has grown since the beginning of the year when production increased by about 4-5 percent.

A leader in the production of cakes and pastries are Moscow and Moscow oblast, while it still has the highest retail prices — on the average 553,5 rubles per kilogram.

In may, the Institute for social analysis and forecasting Ranhigs has released a study according to which in the result of a decline in real incomes, retail sales of alcohol in Russia has decreased for five years from 9.2 to 6.6 liters per person. Such conclusion contains in the report “2016: the socio-economic situation of the population — continuing crisis or new reality?”.
