The government of Qatar announced the return of the diplomatic representative of the Emirate to Iran. The corresponding document was published on the website of the foreign Ministry.
Also the leaders of Qatar, hoped to strengthen bilateral relations with Iran in all fields.
The Qatari Ambassador was recalled from Tehran in January 2016, after Iran had attacked the diplomatic mission of Saudi Arabia. Similar measures also took Bahrain, Sudan and Kuwait.
In June 2017 Qatar found himself in the center of a diplomatic crisis. 5 June Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE announced the rupture of diplomatic relations with this country. They accused Doha of destabilization of the situation in the middle East and supporting terrorist organizations. Later the decision was joined by Yemen, Libya, Maldives, Mauritius, Mauritania and the Union of the Comoros.
Iranian authorities organized the supply of food products in the Emirate, as Saudi Arabia blocked the land connections with Qatar. This has created a tense situation, as more than half of food consumed in Qatar received by land transport from Saudi Arabia.
