Published rankings of the successors of Putin

Fund “the Petersburg policy” has made a rating of the possible “successors” of President Vladimir Putin. According to “Kommersant”, the three leaders entered the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin and the Governor of Tula region Alexey Dyumin.

Politicians included in the rankings, the Fund called the members of the future ruling coalition 2018-2024 years. Their position in the ranking is determined by indicators of publicity, public expectations, activity-contentious subjectivity (the control of the powerful clan and resource flows) and the presence of counter against policy.

According to the authors of the rating, the term “successor” they understand “top rank presence in the nearest personnel reserve” of the President. Possible future posts of officials are specified, it is only noted that they “nominating presidents, Prime Ministers, Deputy Prime Ministers”.

Fourth place in the ranking took the head of the defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu. Closes the top-5 by the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.

The top ten also includes former Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, head of the presidential administration Anton Vaino, and his first Deputy Sergei Kiriyenko (16 points), the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and the President of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin.

Eighteenth place in the top twenty “successors”, the authors gave opposition leader Alexei Navalny, a 20th — “dark horse” whose name is still unknown.

Earlier in mass media reported that Putin will participate in the elections in 2018 as a candidate “with broad popular support.” It was reported that the nomination of Putin as the candidate from “United Russia” is unlikely. If he would run as an independent candidate, about his participation in the campaign, he may declare either in the “Forum actions” all-Russia popular front (onf) or other event “people’s format”.

In the past few months Putin has repeatedly said that to talk about the candidates in the presidential election in 2018 yet. In July, during a meeting with students in the educational center “Sirius” in Sochi, the President said that has not yet decided on whether to “walk away” from the post or not.
