The Russian Ambassador to Sudan, Milas Shira found dead. On Wednesday, August 23, RIA Novosti reported, citing AFP.

As noted, the body of the diplomat was discovered at his residence in Khartoum. The cause of death is still unknown.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia the information about the death of Shira confirmed. “Immediately after receiving detailed information from the employees of the Russian Embassy in Khartoum will be informed about the circumstances of the death of our colleagues”, — said the representatives of the diplomatic corps.

The police of Khartoum Reuters reported that Shira was suffering from high blood pressure. Sudanese journalist Vasil Ali writes that shortly before the death of the diplomat was engaged in swimming.

Milas, Shira was born 26 October 1954. The diplomatic service, he enrolled in 1977. In 1991-1993 Chigrinsky worked as a Counsellor of the Embassy of the USSR and Russia in Yemen. In 1993 to 1996, he was General Consul of Russia in Saudi Jeddah. From 2006 to 2013, he occupied the post of Russian Ambassador to Rwanda.

For the post of Russian Ambassador to the Sudan he was appointed on 27 December 2013.
