The Ministry of health called the most common disease among adult Russians

The most common disease in the adult population of Russia (18 to 55 years) are associated with the respiratory system, reports RT with reference to the representatives of the Ministry of health. In particular, this pneumonia, acute laryngitis, tracheitis and bronchitis.

According to the Agency, in 2016 there were more than 20.8 thousand cases of respiratory diseases per 100 thousand people. The mortality from such diseases in 2016 fell 7.3 percent in 2015. In the first half of 2017, a reduction of 8.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

“Practice shows that acute respiratory disease, a complication which leads to more serious diseases, people used to endure on my feet. They just don’t think that a mild illness can develop into serious pathology. And the consequences can be very different”, — quotes the TV channel freelance otolaryngologist of the Ministry of health Nicholas DIGESA.

On June 28 the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the Russians during vacations abroad often get sick with dengue fever. Over the past two years almost 400 cases of this disease were recorded among tourists returning from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Angola, India, Dominicana, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
