INTERFAX.RU — the reason for involvement of the Director Kirill Serebrennikov as a suspect in a case of embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the project “Platform” became the testimony of former accountants “Seventh Studio”, reported “Interfax” a source familiar with the case.
According to him, “this testimony together with other evidence became the basis for the government bringing to criminal liability”.
On Tuesday the official representative of SKR Svetlana Petrenko told Interfax that investigators Serebrennikov arrested on suspicion of theft of 68 million rubles. She added that the consequence qualifies its actions under part 4 of article 159 (fraud in especially large size).
Also, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax that Serebrennikov can be a preventive measure in the form of arrest or house arrest.
August 11, a source close to the Director has informed “Interfax” that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the framework of the “business “Seventh Studio” has appointed examination of the passport Serebrennikov, who was withdrawn during searches to the end of may, with the result that he cannot travel abroad. According to him, “we can talk about technical and forensic examination, the purpose of which is to establish the authenticity of the document”.
