Finnish media told about the consequences of the error with the letter of Putin’s visit

The case of a wrongly sent to the inhabitant of the Finnish city of Oulu with email with information about the visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Finland will not lead to judicial consequences, the broadcasting company Yle.

Earlier it was reported that the inhabitant of Oulu mistakenly received an e-mail with the information about the visit of Putin is meant for internal use of the police. The letter stated the exact time of arrival of the helicopter of Putin to airport of Savonlinna. In addition, the correspondence discussed the moving of the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.

According to the broadcasting company, received a letter a person with the same name and a similar surname as the head of the press service of the police. Legal Committee the audit revealed that the incident is due to a bug. The police will start a preliminary investigation because the incident did not affect the safety of the visit.

As previously explained the representative of the press service of the police of Eastern Finland Arto Tynkkynen, a letter arrived by e-mail nine hours after the helicopter of the Russian President landed, so his safety was not threatened.

Putin on 27 July a working visit to Finland at the personal invitation of President Niinistö. The visit was timed to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence and was held in the city of Savonlinna.
