The musician added that “not listening to dirt, which often flows to good people”, and his personal attitude to Pamfilova will never change. “I am convinced that in war one reveals absolutely. If he is a scoundrel, is he a thousand times greater scoundrel than in normal civilian life. Ella Pamfilova has shown itself as a very decent, honest and sincere person. Therefore, all that speaks against it is a fucking asshole, excuse me for harsh words, it all can’t stop me”, — he stressed.
On 18 July the mayor of Yekaterinburg Yevgeny Roizman announced that he could not collect the required number of signatures to pass the municipal filter in the elections of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region. He called for a boycott campaign to push for its abolition. The Chairman of the party “Yabloko” Emilia Slabunov issued a statement that the head of the CEC allegedly “covers municipal filter”.
Pamfilova was elected chief of the CEC in March 2016. In the early 2000s he worked in the independent Public Commission on investigation of offences and the protection of human rights in the North Caucasus.
