Sobyanin refused to debate about moving the capital from Moscow

Sergei Sobyanin

The mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin considers a waste of time to debate about the transfer of the Russian capital. About this he wrote on his page “Vkontakte”.

“With all due respect to Yuri Vasilyevich (Krupnova ― approx. “Of the tape.ru”), to debate about fake ideas is wasting time. With the same success it is possible to debate the question “is there life on Mars”,” — wrote the mayor.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of demography, migration and regional development Yury Krupnov has invited the Moscow mayor to hold a discussion on the topic of moving the capital. “Sure, Mr Sobyanin will agree, and recently held a debate!” — he wrote on his page in social network “Vkontakte” in response to Sobyanin’s statement that the transfer of the capital is the “brilliant” idea.

August 19 became known that the largest sent to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin “Doctrine of razmokanija”, which contained a proposal to move the capital of the Urals. According to the official, Russia “hypercentralisation” Moscow region “has absorbed almost one fifth of the entire Russian population” and the national development punctuated only by 15-25 Russian cities, which are home to more than 50 percent of Russians. For a more effective development of the country, he advised them to move away from an economy centered in Moscow, to the development of the whole country, especially the Far East and Siberia.
