The king of Morocco pardoned 415 convicted of terrorism

The king of Morocco Mohammed VI pardoned 415 convicted of terrorism. This is the Agency “Xinhua” with reference to the statement of the Ministry of justice.

Among the pardoned several people who were convicted for the attacks in Casablanca in 2003. Then killed 45 people including 12 suicide bombers.

Convicted monarch commuted the death penalty 30 years to life in prison.

In the statement the Ministry of justice emphasizes that all pardoned “has officially declared its commitment to the enduring values and national institutions, stated their rejection of extremism and terrorism, and demonstrated good behavior in prison.”

The announcement of the pardon was signed the day before the 64th anniversary of the Moroccan revolution.

In late July, the king pardoned nearly 1200 people, was placed under arrest for participating in protests in the North of the country.
