Putin expressed condolences to king of Spain after the terrorist attack in Barcelona

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to King of Spain Felipe VI in connection with the attack in the centre of Barcelona. About it reports a press-service of the Kremlin.

“We strongly condemn this cruel and cynical crime committed against civilians. The incident once again reiterates the need for the real unification of efforts of all world community in the fight against the forces of terror,” — said in the telegram of the Russian President.

Putin also expressed words of sympathy to the families and friends of those killed and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.

Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump condemned the terrorist attack in Barcelona.

August 17 at about 17.00 local time (18.00 GMT), a white van drove into a crowd of people on the Rambla in Central Barcelona. According to the latest authorities, 13 people were killed and over 50 injured.

The driver of the van fled the scene, he was later arrested. Police said he considers the incident a terrorist attack.
