Moscow. 19 Aug. INTERFAX.RU — At least 20 people were killed and over 50 were injured as a result of the derailment in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, according to Indian online India Today.

According to him, five cars of the train, EN route from Puri to Haridwar, derailed near the city of Muzaffarnagar, 115 kilometers from the capital Delhi.

The incident occurred at 17:45 local time (15:45 Moscow time). Officials of the Ministry of Railways of India stated that they are still awaiting details of the accident.
