About 11 thousand people were left without electricity due to bad weather in Crimea

Moscow. 19 Aug. INTERFAX.RU Mass outages in distribution networks occur due to rain and thunderstorms in the Crimea, reports the Ministry of energy.

“Without power are domestic consumers in 27 towns (around 10 700). The power of disabled consumers is 8.2 MW”, — stated in the message.

It notes that there are emergency repair work, measures are taken for the organization of temporary power supply of socially significant objects with the use of standby power sources.

Emergency repair works involved eight teams of 20 people and eight units of special equipment, according to the Ministry of energy.

The situation is under special control of the Deputy head of the government Commission on electricity supply security (Federal HQ), Deputy Minister of energy of the Russian Federation Andrey Tcherezov to complete emergency repair works.
