Previously, the newspaper the New York Times, citing classified intelligence assessment of the US intelligence and research of the expert of the analytical center IISS Michael Alleman reported that the DPRK could through the black market to obtain for its ballistic missiles engines, produced at the Ukrainian enterprise “Yuzhmash”. The company has denied this information, and the General designer of KB “southern” Alexander Degtyarev suggested that some country managed to copy Ukrainian engines.

“What do you mean “copy engines”? It’s not a painting or a sculpture. In order to make a “copy” , it is necessary to have available or the original engine, or detailed drawings. Yes and no Ukrainian specialists, able and ready to start production on foreign technology platform, can not do. Anyway, we are talking about smuggling the supply to bypass all existing international prohibitions” , — Rogozin wrote in his Twitter.
