The EU has made withdrawal from the sanctions part of the energy projects with Russia’s participation
BRUSSELS, August 17 — RIA Novosti. Thanks to the efforts of the EU from the scope of the new anti-Russian sanctions, the United States displayed some energy projects with Russian participation, said Russia’s envoy to the EU Vladimir Chizhov in an interview with radio Sputnik.
In early August, U.S. President Donald trump signed passed by the Congress a bill on new sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea.
After the signing of the trump of the law on sanctions, the foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel, called the new sanctions are illegal, noting that the US wants to clear a place for the supply of American energy to the EU. In turn, commenting on the signing of the law, the head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said that Brussels will work to protect the economic interests of the EU.
“Because those comments that were heard from the White house, a clear picture (about the new anti-Russian sanctions — ed.), at least in the eyes of Europeans, is not created. That is, in the law, they believe, is the backlash. This backlash in the European Union tend to rank, including the results of their efforts at the stage of passage of this law through Congress,” — said Chizhov.
