In the Kemerovo region police opened a criminal case on illegal possession of weapons (article 222 of the criminal code) in respect of a local resident shot the bear with an unlicensed carbine. On Thursday, August 17, reported on the website of the regional interior Ministry cupola.
“The suspect explained that about five years ago, after the death of his brother, who was the legal owner, he left the rifle myself and all this time kept it in the garage,” said the guards.
Earlier, the police received information that in the village Uskovo Novokuznetsk district killed the bear. Date of incident not specified. The officer found that the owner of the local apiary asked his friend from Novokuznetsk to shoot the animal, which ruined one of his hives. The man agreed, ambushed bear directly on the apiary, and when the beast came out of the woods, killed him.
The weapon that the shooter hid in the bushes, and nine rounds of ammunition were seized by the police.
