Any complications in the work of Russian diplomats in the US will signal the unwillingness of Washington to normalize bilateral relations. This statement was made in an interview with RIA Novosti Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov.
So, according to the Deputy Minister, confirmation appeared in the media information about the possible restriction on the American side of the movement of Russian diplomats, would mean “first, the need to respond and, second, a serious political signal that the U.S. side still shows no willingness to translate the bilateral relations on a more reasonable footing”.
“We are closely monitoring all signals on how to behave on the American side in the question of the organization of the activities of our diplomatic missions in the United States,” — said Ryabkov. Thus, according to the diplomat, Russia “all-taki would hope that before the next flare-up will not happen, and these relations are stabilised”.
