MOSCOW, 13 Aug — RIA Novosti. Zone of de-escalation in Syria open for humanitarian aid, support for international organizations, said on Sunday the TV channel “Russia 24” the Minister of defence of the Russian Federation General of the army Sergei Shoigu.

“Today few people are talking about the access of humanitarian assistance (in the areas of de-escalation in Syria — ed). So we do say: “Bring (humanitarian aid — as amended) in the zone of de-escalation — everything is open”. Of course, we need support from humanitarian organizations, United Nations. Go on recovery, the return of refugees to their homes,” he said.

Armed conflict in Syria continues from March 2011. According to the UN, during this time, killed more than 220 thousand people.

In Astana in July was the fifth round of talks on Syria to discuss the parameters of future areas of de-escalation. The main result of the previous four rounds was the approval of regulations on the joint task force on monitoring of the cessation of hostilities in Syria and the signing by the countries-guarantors (Russia, Turkey and Iran) of the Memorandum on the establishment of a de-escalation in Syria. Today we have created three zones of de-escalation: to the North of the city of HOMS, Eastern ghouta and Syria’s border with Jordan.
