Russian high jumper height Maria Laecken won the gold medal at the world Championships in athletics in London. About it the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.

In the finals Laecken excelled with a score of 2.03 meters. Second place went to Ukrainian Yulia Levchenko (2,01). Third place went to the Polish girl Kamila, Licwinko (1,99).

24-year-old Russian has defended the title of world champion. In 2015 she won the world championship in Beijing. Laecken and 18 euros annually in London under a neutral flag due to suspension of the all-Russian Federation of athletics associations (vfla).

August 11, the Russians Darya Klishina and Valery Pronkin won silver medals of the world championship. Klishina was second in the long jump, Pronkin in the hammer throw.

The world championship will end on August 13.
