More than three million citizens of the DPRK decided to voluntarily join the army

Central North Korean newspaper “Rodong Sinmun” reported that nearly 3.5 million people have submitted applications for membership or reinstatement in the armed forces of the DPRK on the background of confrontation between Pyongyang and Washington, following approval of a new resolution of the UN security Council.
According to the newspaper, three days applied 3,475 million people, in particular students, workers and retired military personnel.
“People are rising throughout the country in order to give tenfold back USA. Only 9 of August in the same province North Hwanghae province about 89 thousand young people applied to join the army”, — stated in the message.
In early August, the UN security Council unanimously adopted a new resolution on North Korea, which tightens sanctions against the country.
