Scientists called 2016 the warmest in the history of observations

Us scientists have unveiled a new report on global warming, according to which the concentration of greenhouse gases has set a new record, and 2016 as a whole was the warmest on record.

2016 last year was the warmest year in over 137 years of observation. This is stated in the report of the National administration oceanic and atmospheric administration (NOAA) of the United States.

Prior to that, was considered the warmest year of 2015. The authors of the report found that most of the indicators of climate change continue to “follow the trend of warming” and the indicators of surface temperatures of ocean and land, sea level and the level of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere have broken records in 2015. The results of last year were caused by the joint effect of long-term global warming phenomenon El niƱo, which represents the temperature variations of the surface water layer in the Equatorial Pacific ocean.
