The Chairman of the Central election Commission, Ella Pamfilova urged the acting heads of the regions as carefully as possible to approach the organization of public events during the election campaign to avoid ambiguous situations. Her words Wednesday, August 9, reports RIA Novosti.
At the Commission meeting, she cited the situation with prizes at the festival “Ural gems” in the Sverdlovsk region, which will be held at polling stations on election day, September 10.
“I in connection with this case would like to warn and to appeal to everyone, first and foremost, the acting head of the region, very sensitive and careful approach to all public shares that will accompany this campaign,” — said Pamfilova.
In particular, it refers to the acting Governor, who themselves plan to participate in the campaign. According to the head of the Commission, they need to be “triple strict to yourself” that no one had any doubt as to the order of such events. In addition, she asked the Commissioner for human rights in the Sverdlovsk region, as well as Chairman of local election Committee Valery Chainikova to keep this case under control, said TASS.
