Many employees of the U.S. state Department was furious with the reaction of President Donald trump on the expulsion of American diplomats from Russia. It is reported by Politico.

“Very demoralizing. Very disrespectful to those who serve their country in a difficult situation”, — said the publication of one of the employees of the foreign Ministry.

According to another employee, “all in shock”. “This is a very naive and short-sighted statement, it sends a wrong signal to the entire staff,” he said.

Earlier on 11 August criticized the statements trump made former U.S. Ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul. He felt that the President made “one of the most shameful, unpatriotic and ignorant comment.”

Before that the American leader said Moscow’s decision to reduce the number of employees of the U.S. mission in Russia. “I want to thank President Vladimir Putin, because we are trying to reduce the wage costs and I am very grateful that he let a lot of people,” said trump.

On 30 July, Putin said that the staff of the diplomatic missions of the USA in Russia will be reduced by 1 September of 755 people. Earlier, the Russian foreign Ministry has proposed to reduce its total number to 455. Adopted by the Moscow measures were a response to the bill to toughen anti-Russian sanctions.
