MOSCOW, August 9. /TASS/. The chief of the General staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Valery Gerasimov and Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the U.S. army Joseph Dunford during a telephone conversation exchanged views on the situation in Syria and Iraq and the fight against international terrorism, the press service of the defense Ministry.
“During a telephone conversation exchanged views on the situation in Syria and Iraq, they discussed further actions to combat international terrorist organizations, as well as functioning of areas of de-escalation in the South West of the Syrian Arab Republic”, – said the Agency.
