The statement of the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, called on Ukrainians to refrain from trips to Russia, is absurd. This opinion was expressed by Deputy foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday, August 9.
“This, of course, the question of their domestic policy, but in General making such statements, at least not correctly, in my opinion. It is naive and irresponsible statement,” said Karasin.
The diplomat believes that the people of Ukraine are unlikely to follow this recommendation. “I think that the millions of Ukrainians who live temporarily or permanently we have due to the current political circumstances in Ukraine, will strongly disagree with such statements,” he added.
An appeal to residents not to visit Russia Omeljan made on 8 August. “Nothing to go to Russia, actually. But to visit family who have it there,” — said the official. A more promising direction the Minister believes Europe.
In addition, Omeljan supported the stop rail passenger and freight traffic with the Crimea.
