Thinner speaker thanked the Russian justice dropped pounds

The former head of the Ministry of economic development (med) of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev, accused of receiving a bribe in two million dollars, thanked the Russian justice for the loss of excess weight, reports TASS on Tuesday, August 8.

“I’ve lost 14 pounds, thank you for this our justice,” said the former official to journalists, leaving the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow, where they held a preliminary hearing in his case.

Ulyukayev in an interview with reporters called the criminal case in respect of itself a “provocation”.

Earlier on Tuesday the court extended his house arrest until 27 January. 16 he will consider the case against the former head of the MAYOR on the merits.

Alexei Ulyukayev was arrested on 15 November last year. The consequence considers that he illegally demanded from the representative of the company “Rosneft” a bribe for issuing a positive opinion on the transaction on purchase of state block of shares of “Bashneft”. The same day he was sent under house arrest and dismissed from his post.

The investigation was conducted under part 6 of article 290 of the criminal code (“Receiving bribes a person holding state position of the Russian Federation, in especially large size”). In late may, the investigation was completed. The speaker does not recognize his guilt.
