The US is preparing to impose additional sanctions against Venezuela
MOSCOW, 8 Aug — RIA Novosti. The administration of the President of the United States Donald trump is preparing to impose sanctions against another group of Venezuelan officials linked to President Nicolas Maduro, reports Reuters, citing sources in the administration.
After the Venezuela election of the constituent Assembly, the U.S. imposed sanctions against President Nicolas Maduro for “undermining democracy”, all of his assets in US jurisdiction frozen and U.S. citizens are barred from doing business Maduro. Earlier, the U.S. Treasury contributed to the sanctions list of 13 individuals, including current and former Ministers, chiefs of police of Venezuela and Vice-presidents of the national oil company.
According to the Agency, the new sanctions will include freezing of assets and ban on entry, the United States can enter this week.
To date, the final sanctions list has not yet been formed, the Agency reports. It is also reported that sanctions are affecting the oil sector of Venezuela, are still being considered.
