In Vietnam due to floods killed 26 people

The floods in the North of Vietnam killed 26 people. About it reports Reuters.

Another 15 people in the country are still unaccounted for. Floods affected five provinces — sonla, yen Bai, Thuan Chau market, Cao Bang and Lai Chau. The overflowing river has washed away about 200 homes and another 400 damaged, destroyed irrigation systems and rice farms.

Rescuers can’t get to the affected settlements — many roads blocked by landslides or flooded. The total damage is estimated at more than 940 billion VND (41 million USD).

According to forecasts of weather forecasters, in the near future, the rains will intensify.
