The authorities of Venice will teach tourists the rules of behaviour in the city
Moscow. 6 Aug. INTERFAX.RU — government of Venice launched a campaign #EnjoyRespectVenezia to remind the tourists about the rules of conduct and the need to preserve historical and cultural heritage of the famous city, according to the website of the municipality.
“To preserve the extraordinary beauty and uniqueness of Venice, the need of sustainable tourism development. But to develop it in harmony with the daily life of citizens, without changing the artistic and the natural environment and without obstructing socio-economic growth”, — stated in the message.
The city authorities reminded tourists that Venice is a unique city, world heritage of UNESCO “cultural and natural heritage of exceptional value which must be preserved and transmitted to future generations”.
On the municipality’s website posted suggested 12 rules for responsible visitors — a kind of Handbook of tips and recommendations to help tourists “become more knowledgeable travelers, with due respect to environment, landscape, artistic values and identity of Venice.”
