MOSCOW, 4 Aug — RIA Novosti. The question of restricting the powers of the regions of the Russian Federation should be addressed to the government, said press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the bill, which establishes the generic grounds for withdrawal of Federal powers.
The government proposes to make possible the removal of transferred to the regions powers, if they are duplicated by Federal agencies, and in the event of an emergency.
“It is necessary for the government to ask. You talked about the government’s initiative,” — said Peskov on a question how seriously the initiative of the government can limit the powers of the regions.
